What is the Process?
Step One: Preparing the Surface
The first step is carefully laying down drop sheets on your floors and clean plastic over your furniture. All surfaces are prepared following a dulux specification. The next step is preparing the surface, whether it is a wall, woodwork or a ceiling, to a state where they can be repainted. This includes making sure that the surface is clean, dry and that there is no moisture left in them. Everything will be sanded, dusted, gapped and defects filled. All dust and debris is then removed from the site.
As part of this we also tackle any mould that may have come about due to water damage and lock it away with a shellac undercoat. Now we are ready to repaint.
Step Two: Priming the Surface
As a part of following a Dulux specification all bare substrates will be primed/sealed/undercoated with the appropriate undercoat. Adhesion and coverage will only be achieved if the surface has been correctly prepared.
Step Three: Repainting the Surface
The final step is applying a fresh coat of paint. At Pristine Painting Perfection we use top tier Dulux paints that will allow the home to feel renewed and fresh.
